Do you want or need to lose weight?

Weight loss.  Obesity.  Overweight.  Flabby.  All are terms we don't care to think about nor have associated with us.  Yet obesity is an epeidemic in this country and it's spiraling out of control.  Nearly 2/3 of Americans are considered obese!  In the next 10 years the number is expected to go to over 90%!

It's true.  Eating habits have turned towards unhealthy choices and more of it.   Serving sizes have doubled in the past 20 years so now we have people (and children!) eating more unhealthy foods than ever before.

There are many ways to combat this problem.  We can retrain an individual or family to make better food choices and re-learn what is healthy for their family.  This takes time and a willingness to change.  Ultimately, most will have to go through this step as you cannot simply 'diet' forever and hope for a healthy change.

When a patient comes to me with questions on weight loss, I must take into consideration their lifestyle and what their health goals are.  It's not just about the weight.  At that point, I can make a custom recommendation based on their needs, goals, and dedication level.
